A vintage Italian movie poster of ''Nozze di Sangue'' (1941), also known as "Blood Wedding," a 1941 Italian drama film directed by Goffredo Alessandrini. The film stars Beatrice Mancini, Fosco Giachetti, and Luisa Ferida. Set in the 19th century in South America, it revolves around an arranged marriage and is based on the novel "Immacolata" by Lina Pietravalle.

The plot unfolds in an unspecified state in South America during the 19th century. The story follows Immacolata, who, having married by proxy, travels to meet her husband, a woodcutter who has emigrated. Upon arrival at the port, she encounters a man bearing the agreed-upon signs and spends her first night with him, not knowing she has given her virginity not to her husband, Gidda, but to Pietro, a rival seeking revenge against her true husband.

The eventual meeting between Immacolata and Gidda is far from happy: she is only accepted into the house out of pity, neglected, mistreated, and ultimately abandoned by he...
