Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

STAR ISLAND DORY - Star Island, Isle of Shoals off the coast of Maine and New Hampshire is an amazing place. It changes every time you visit even though it is only 46 acres. I would love to thank the person who placed this dory by the stone wall. During my 4 hr visit this day I photographed this spot from many angles in different light. This image could have been taken 150 yrs ago as easily as 2014. To me it speaks quintessential 1800's New England fishing village.
The first photograph I remember taking was on a 4th grade field trip to Augusta Maine. Long ago were the days of putting the 126 or 110 size cartridge of film in a bag, mailing it off to some magical place then waiting 2 weeks to get your prints back. Now- shoot it, dump it or keep it. Between then and now my photography has taken many twisted turns. High school brought the camera club. What an easy way to get out of study hall and classes and roam the halls taking pictures to end up in the yearbook. I was accepted at but did not attend Rhode Island School of Photography, foolishness at an early age. Started capturing weddings and portraits which got progressively larger for about 10 years.
